Clinical Trial of Investigational Ebola Treatments Begins in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

A randomized, controlled clinical trial of investigational Ebola treatments has begun in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The trial is enrolling patients of any age with confirmed Ebola at a treatment unit in the city of Beni. The National Institute for Biomedical Research, part of the DRC Ministry of Health, and NIAID are leading the trial as part of a WHO-coordinated research consortium.
