A new post on the NIAID Now blog explains how, by examining samples from prior studies, NIAID-funded researchers found a way to predict if a tuberculosis patient is likely to relapse. This could help healthcare providers design treatment plans which limit unnecessary antibiotics, while ensuring patients who are likely to relapse receive the treatments they need. |
