That's what drives us. Lives – the lives of people you love. We have a goal of doubling our research budget by 2021, to $240 million annually. That's double the investments, double the resources, and double the support for some of the most brilliant researchers out there.

We have played a part in many of the major cancer research breakthroughs in the last 60 years – from mammograms, to the link between smoking and lung cancer, to cutting-edge treatments using immunotherapy and nanotechnology.
Thanks in part to reductions in smoking and advances in prevention, early detection, and treatment, the cancer death rate has declined 26% since its peak in 1991. That means more than 2.3 million fewer cancer deaths.
But we're not satisfied until every one of our loved ones survives cancer and fewer get cancer in the first place.
