Applications Sought for New Funding Announcement!

The NIAID Radiation/Nuclear Countermeasures Program (RNCP) supports extramural research to develop safe and effective radiation medical countermeasures and biodosimetry methods and/or devices for clinical use under emergency situations. Applications are being sought for the following:

Centers for Medical Countermeasures Against Radiation Consortium (U19 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) (Funding Opportunity Announcement Number: RFA-AI-19-012):

The goals of this FOA follow:

  1. Develop new techniques and devices to measure radiation exposure in the human body
  2. Follow biomarkers of tissue damage and recovery
  3. Further develop existing (e.g. products in clinical use) as well as novel therapies to minimize tissue damage, hasten tissue recovery, restore normal physiological function, and improve survival

Applications are due May 31, 2019.
