FY 2019 Funding Opportunity Announcement


The Office of Minority Health (OMH) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services administers grant programs to support projects that implement innovative models to improve minority health and reduce health disparities.  

OMH has released a new funding opportunity announcement (FOA) for which applications are now being accepted.

Announcement Number: MP-CPI-19-001
Opportunity Title: OMH Hepatitis B Demonstration Grant Program (Hepatitis B Program)
Award Ceiling: $500,000
Award Floor: $400,000
Application Due Date: April 13, 2019 

OMH, in consultation with the HHS Office of HIV/ AIDS and Infectious Disease Policy, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Viral Hepatitis, seeks to develop model comprehensive hepatitis B programs that include strategic partnerships between: community-based organizations servicing communities-at-risk; departments of health; perinatal hepatitis B programs; safety net providers; research centers; and healthcare facilities.

Programs should have capacity to deliver widespread vaccination, scale-up testing, and provide care and treatment services.

The Hepatitis B Program will advance progress toward the national hepatitis B elimination goals and strategic actions recommended by National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
