Today is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD)!

Every single one of us — women, men, community organizations, those who are HIV-negative, and those who are living with HIV — has a role to play in preventing HIV.

Take a moment today to:

  • Visit our website to learn what every woman needs to know about HIV and AIDS. For parents, see what girls should know.
  • Tell us how you're helping prevent HIV by using the hashtag: #NWGHAAD.
  • Use our social media toolkit! You'll find graphics and sample social media posts to help spread the word about NWGHAAD.
  • Update your Facebook profile picture with the NWGHAAD 2019 frame to say "HIV Prevention Starts with Me."
  • Follow us on Twitter (@womenshealth, @SaludDLaMujer, and @girlshealth) and Facebook for more on NWGHAAD and preventing HIV. Share or retweet any posts you find helpful.
