Join Global Health on Follow Global Health on We're pleased to share the 2019 Acting on the Call Report!  Since 2012, the governments in more than half of USAID's priority countries for maternal and child survival have increased their domestic budgets for health.   This year, we examine how to best work with countries on their development journeys and identify four key principles to accelerate progress. By partnering with governments to build in-country capacity, engage the private sector, drive accountability, and mobilize domestic resources, USAID's investments are improving the health of women and children now and supporting partner governments to do so in the future. From Afghanistan and Ethiopia to Nigeria and Tanzania, see the latest updates on our progress to prevent child and maternal deaths, including a special focus on the impact of proper nutrition.   We encourage you to read the report as well as accompanying stories and fact sheet.
