Thursday, July 11, 2019 While venom immunotherapy can be effective for people allergic to honeybee stings, the therapy requires frequent clinic visits and relies on costly venom extracts. A study published in the Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology suggests that an NIH-developed adjuvant boosted the effect of immunotherapy in 27 adults—a change that may mitigate some treatment challenges.
