American Diabetes Association
| | ADA-funded researchers are getting us closer to a cure Our vision at the American Diabetes Association® is a life free of diabetes and all its burdens, but in order to make that vision a reality we need continued investment in research.
We have made tremendous strides, last year alone: - We’ve supported 318 research projects at more than 100 leading research institutions
- We’ve funded 133 in-training or early career investigators and more than 50 underrepresented minority scientists
- Notably, we’ve contributed to a project aimed at advancing the artificial pancreas by using data from continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps to create tailored eating patterns for patients. This would give an artificial pancreas the information needed to administer glucose accordingly.
We are committed to finding better ways to prevent, treat and, ultimately, cure diabetes. To this end, we will continue to fund innovative research and help junior scientists establish within the field of diabetes.
Thank you for your support—we could not have funded this important research without you. If you can, please donate today to help us keep moving closer to a cure. | | | | There’s nothing we can’t do when we’re Connected for Life. VIEW ONLINE | UPDATE YOUR PROFILE HERE
