As 2019 comes to a close, we look back at all of the people, organizations, and partners who have helped us create opportunities and provide resources for our community. In December alone, you have helped us surpass our Giving Tuesday fundraising goals—we received twice as many single-day donations than last year alone—in addition to building new partnerships, creative programs, and vision that will help our affiliates in the year to come. In honor of these feats and more, we've chosen to focus not only on how the gifts have assisted us, but also on holiday gift guides, resources, and services for individuals affected by autism. GET RESOURCE GUIDE This past year, we watched our 79 affiliates tackle challenges, address market needs with program development, and collaborate on policy issues. Each year, the Hussman Foundation offers a $100,000 grant to be distributed throughout our affiliate network through initiatives each market is looking to grow or start. This month, we are proud to showcase four affiliates and the results of their successful programs from the past year.  Learn how the Autism Society of Southern Arizona expanded their Playformance Meet-Ups, a play-based fitness program that builds autistic youths' strength and character through play. FIND A LOCAL AFFILIATE...   Employment Efforts As part of National Disability Employment Awareness month, we visited three partner organizations who are making a difference and working to build a more inclusive, neuro-diverse workplace. CAI, AMC Theatres, and Extraordinary Ventures each tackle different aspects of the employment challenge, but all are creating more job opportunities for neuro-diverse populations. WATCH THE VIDEO...
