| Data Analytic Technical Assistance for State Medicaid Agencies Expressions of Interest Forms Due January 31, 2020 The Medicaid IAP is launching a six-month data analytics technical assistance opportunity for Medicaid agencies interested increasing their analytic capabilities. IAP can provide data analytic technical assistance to Medicaid agencies across a wide range of topics, such as developing an analytic plan, interpreting statistical output, or developing statistical programs to analyze and monitor their Medicaid programs. This technical assistance opportunity is open to states at all levels of experience in analyzing and using data. Additional information, including the Program Overview, Expression of Interest form, and Informational Session slides are posted on the IAP Data Analytics webpage. Complete the EOI form and email it to MedicaidIAP@cms.hhs.gov by midnight EST on January 31, 2020, with the subject line "Data Analytics." Leveraging Electronic Visit Verification to Enhance Quality Monitoring and Oversight in 1915(c) Waiver Programs Webinar The 21st Century Cures Act requires states to implement an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) solution to verify delivery of personal care services (PCS) by January 1, 2020, and home health care services (HHCS) by January 1, 2023. This webinar will cover the purpose and functions of an EVV solution and strategies for using EVV to improve waiver program quality monitoring and oversight. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will discuss how states may leverage their EVV systems, including the data collected through those systems, to enhance existing fiscal and program integrity processes. Specifically, CMS will review areas of billing validation, financial accountability, service delivery oversight, participant health and welfare, and other general considerations for states as they integrate their EVV solutions with quality monitoring efforts.
