Depression doesn't just affect your mind. It affects your heart, too

Did you know people with other chronic medical conditions such as heart disease have a higher risk of depression? The reverse is also true: the risk of developing heart disease is higher in people with depression.

Do not dismiss depression as a normal part of having a chronic illness. If you or a loved one think you have depression, it is important to tell your health care provider and explore treatment options.
