Your support can make a difference: Meet Suzie
| | The Impact that a Gift Makes At the American Diabetes Association® (ADA), we’ve celebrated major advances in the field of diabetes research and technology thanks to the supporters of our mission. We expect that momentum to continue until we find a cure—but we need your help today to make sure that happens.
We see and hear the stories of so many people directly impacted by supporters of the ADA. Stories like the Wagner’s.
More than 30 years ago, Don and Arleen Wagner’s daughter, Suzie, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 10. At the time, Suzie was one of the first young people to get a monitor to check her own blood sugar.
Since the day Suzie received her diagnosis and her life changed forever, she’s seen the impact of ADA’s research funding firsthand, as better, more accurate and more convenient tools and treatments have been developed. Suzie has been able to fulfill her parents’ dream for her: to live a full, healthy life–all because of help from supporters!
Don and Arleen also stepped up to donate their time and money.
“We know without a doubt that research funded by the ADA has improved the quality of Suzie’s life. We hope our gift helps researchers find an end to this disease.”—Don Wagner
It is stories just like this that inspire us all to keep pushing and fighting for a cure.
Suzie is just one of the millions of people your contribution will help. Please continue to support our mission today. We couldn’t do it without you!
