3.5 MM people with autism are losing services. Help Now!

Urgent: help us support the autism community during the COVID-19 crisis.

 Dear Hcis,

I have never emailed you a request like this but the COVID-19 crisis is affecting all of us. The autism community is a vulnerable, high-risk population that faces extraordinary pressures during the COVID-19 crisis. Now, more than ever, the Autism Society of America needs your help to continue to provide immediate support in this time of need.

Throughout the nation, individuals with autism and their families are not getting services they need, such as individualized education, behavioral therapies, proper nutrition, medical care and more. The ongoing quarantine measures are devastating to families with significant needs, who rely on these program services everyday.

Please make a special gift to the Autism Society of America so that we can continue to provide reliable resources, valued information, and alternative solutions for these individuals and their families.

One of the many families impacted has two adult sons with special needs. All of the programs and services these young men receive have been cancelled. The parents rely on caregiver support, and are in desperate need of help. Your support makes it possible to advocate for this family, and everyone affected by autism.

With your gift, we will be able to continue our relief efforts through information and referral services, and unite our network of professional experts to provide added resources.  Your support will allow us to have the voice of the autism community heard in the halls of Congress, as we advocate for emergency funding for our families.

There are hundreds of thousands of people like the family I just described being severely impacted by the hardships of COVID-19. In recent years, our network has provided programs and services to over 600,000 individuals. With this crisis, that number may double or even triple!

While none of us were prepared for the magnitude of this crisis and economic impact, we know our community needs us NOW!

Please send a gift of $75 or more to support our essential work of improving the lives of all affected by autism during this crisis.

All My Best,

Christopher Banks

President & CEO
