Dear Hcis,
The Autism Society of America promises to remain committed to improving the lives of all affected by autism across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, and will focus on providing information, resources, and advocacy efforts to address these urgent needs.
- On Friday, March 20th, we released our COVID-19 toolkit webpages, which offer specific guidance and resources surrounding mental health, respite care, modifying routines, lifestyle supports, education, and public policy efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.
- Today, we updated our mental health resources with helpful tips on isolation, anxiety, and social distancing.
- On Wednesday, March 25th at 7pm EST, we will continue to co-host a Facebook Live series with myHana, featuring Dr. Jed Baker to discuss "Maintaining Hope and Handling Frustration and Anxiety." Please tune in to our Facebook to watch.
- On Thursday, March 26th at 3pm EST, we will continue the Autism Society: Coronavirus Information Series with Dr. Cathy Pratt, "Supporting Individuals on the Autism Spectrum with Co-Occurring Mental Health Challenges." Please tune in to our Facebook to watch.
- Our National Helpline remains fully operational; call or email today to speak to an Autism Society Information & Referral Specialist.
The Autism Society is proud to offer extra support to the autism community as we navigate this crisis together — we are here for you today, and always.
All My Best,

Christopher Banks
