Antibodies from Llamas Could Help in Fight Against COVID-19

An engineered antibody derived from llama antibodies may neutralize SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, report researchers from NIAID and their collaborators at the University of Texas at Austin and Ghent University in Belgium. Further research into these unique proteins may help scientists better understand host immune responses to the virus and identify new treatments for COVID-19.
