Will you help us work even harder for health care professionals?
| | Across the country, health care systems are facing a shortage of critical supplies. And the number of health care professionals who have had COVID-19 is growing by the day. The time to act is now. That’s why the American Diabetes Association® is doing all we can to protect these front line heroes: - We’ve successfully urged the FDA, during this crisis, to help reduce exposure to the virus by expanding the use of remote patient monitoring in hospitals—including continuous glucose monitors (CGMs).
- Working with our partners, we’ve secured the donation of 25,000 CGMs to be given to hospitals across the country that are in need.
- We’ve created a COVID-19 resource center specifically for our professional community, to help them stay informed and provide safe, effective care.
- We are advocating for $0 insulin co-pays to keep people with diabetes safe and out of the hospital, and reduce the strain on our health care systems.
Health care professionals play a crucial role in keeping our diabetes community safe. We need your help to keep these front line workers safe, too.
If you are able, please donate to help us continue these efforts. | | If you are struggling to pay for insulin or know someone who is, ADA has resources to help. Visit InsulinHelp.org. | | |
