| June 27 is National HIV Testing Day According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 1.2 million people in the United States have HIV. For people with undiagnosed HIV, testing is the first step in maintaining a healthy life and preventing HIV transmission.
June 27 is National HIV Testing Day, an annual occasion to encourage people to get tested for HIV. CDC recommends that everyone 13 to 64 years old get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care. People at higher risk should get tested more often.

AIDSinfo Updates Investigational HIV Drug Fact Sheets AIDSinfo recently updated several investigational HIV drug fact sheets. These drugs are currently being studied in clinical trials and are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for sale in the United States to treat or prevent HIV.
The investigational drug fact sheets are available in two formats: a plain language version, which includes an overview of the drug and information on clinical trials studying the drug; and a health professional version, which includes detailed, scientific information about the drug, including information on the pharmacology of the drug and on adverse events of the drug identified in clinical trials.
