The Sound Health Network, which will promote research and public awareness about the impact of music on health and wellness, held its official launch in January 2021.

The network is a partnership of the National Endowment for the Arts with the University of California, San Francisco in collaboration with the National Institutes of Health, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Renée Fleming, the Center's artistic advisor.

This video of the recent launch event showcases the resources and services that the network will provide in an effort to bring together scientists, music therapists, artists, and the public. Dr. Emmeline Edwards, Director of the Division of Extramural Research at the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, is featured in one of the discussions.

You can learn more about the network on its new website, which is a great source for information about research on the impact of music on health and wellness. You can subscribe to the network's newsletter, sign up for webinars, and read about current research projects on music and health.
