Friday, February 19, 2021 A new series of articles focused on HIV in the United States outlines recommendations to overcome barriers to implementing HIV services, including counseling, testing, treatment, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and syringe services programs. The authors of the series, published online today in The Lancet, note that by addressing health disparities and leveraging these services, an end to the U.S. HIV epidemic remains attainable. The series was funded in part by NIH's National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), and the authors received additional support from NIAID. |
