Join us for Developmental Disabilities Month

Our March Toolkit focuses on Developmental Disabilities Month, and highlights women with autism for National Women's History Month. The Autism Society honors individuals and families affected by autism by providing advocacy, education, supports, and community.

Did you know: Research suggests that girls may not show autism in the same way as boys and might go undiagnosed because of that. Girls are more likely to camouflage or hide their symptoms. On average, girls receive later autism diagnoses than boys, which might delay access to resources that can help. Our aim is to provide families with the resources and support needed to address these challenges and provide additional resources to support autistic women.

The March toolkit also provides resources for COVID-19 vaccine education and continued COVID-19 support.
The Autism Society network is comprised of 75 affiliates across the country. Highlighted below are just some of the events and programs offered related to our March theme:

Save the Date!
The annual Fore Autism Golf Tournament, hosted by Keystone Insurers Group, will be on October 13, 2021. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Autism Society of America.

Our Promise During COVID-19: The Autism Society of America promises to remain committed to improving the lives of all affected by autism across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, and will focus on providing information, resources, and advocacy efforts to address these urgent needs.
