| |  | | Clinical Trials | Effects of Aging and Gender-Affirming Hormone Therapy on Vascular Endothelial Function and Metabolic Profiles in Transgender Men This study, sponsored by the University of Colorado, Denver and the National Institutes of Health, seeks transgender men from the Denver metropolitan area, ages 18-40 or 50-75 years old, who have taken testosterone for at least one year. The study will be carried out at the University of Colorado in Aurora, Colorado.
The Pride Body Project (PBP Study) This study, sponsored by San Diego State University and the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, seeks gay or bisexual men, ages 18-35 years old, for a study on body image and the prevention of eating disorders. The study will be carried out at San Diego State University in San Diego, California. |  | | Workforce Development | Political Determinants of Health Learning Laboratory Program This initiative, developed by the Morehouse School of Medicine Satcher Health Leadership Institute, seeks to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable communities by mobilizing elected/appointed officials and community-based organizations to advance health equity interventions, programs, and policies in their respective jurisdictions. A selective cohort of policy officials and community leaders will be challenged to create actionable steps toward alleviating disproportionate health outcomes.

The 2021 NHSC new site application cycle is open for sites that have never been approved for NHSC, including sites that have previously applied and had their application denied or cancelled, or are currently an inactive NHSC site due to expiration or past compliance issues.
