The initiative will also support the modification, development, and implementation of policies to improve health outcomes. The initiative seeks applications for two separate notices of funding opportunity (NOFO): Demonstration Projects and a Coordinating Center. The Coordinating Center will provide technical assistance to the recipients of Demonstration Projects funding. OMH will host two technical assistance (TA) webinars for prospective applicants: Applications for both funding announcements are due on August 23, by 6:00 pm ET. Confronting Health Misinformation: A Discussion with the Surgeon General on Building a Healthy Information Environment Health misinformation is a major threat to public health because it can cause confusion, spread mistrust, harm people's health, and undermine public health efforts. Join U.S. Surgeon General Vivek H. Murthy and the Stanford Internet Observatory this week as the Surgeon General discusses slowing the spread of health misinformation, both during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. The event will conclude with a moderated Q&A session with the audience.
