| | Clinical Trials | Opioids and Police Safety Study This study, sponsored by the New York University and the CDC, seeks active duty police officers to provide a knowledge base regarding key obstacles and facilitators of the willingness and preparedness of police to administer naloxone and related risk reduction practices and evaluate the efficacy of a web-based opioid-related occupational safety and risk reduction curriculum. Findings from this study will be applied to the development and implementation of effective interventions for police officers aimed at harmonizing law enforcement practices with public health goals. The study will be carried out at the Pittsburg Police Department in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Intervening with Opioid-Dependent Mothers and Infants This study, sponsored by the University of Delaware and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, seeks opioid-dependent pregnant women, age 18 years or older, who are in their third trimester of pregnancy and on medication for opioid use disorder. The study will be carried out at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. |
