What's New at OWH 30th Anniversary This year the Office on Women's Health (OWH) celebrates its 30-year anniversary – a milestone we're honored to share with all of you. From the beginning, we've made it our mission to connect women and girls with up-to-date, actionable health information. Today, we continue that tradition using a variety of digital platforms. HPV VAX NOW campaign  In July, OWH launched phase two of our campaign to raise awareness about HPV-related cancers and to empower both males and females ages 18-26 to complete the HPV vaccine series. Please share the following campaign resources with your network:  Information for young adults; Guidance, tips, and resources for healthcare providers; Messages and graphics to promote #HPVvaxNOW campaign in the toolkit to reach young adults and the toolkit to reach healthcare providers. Closing the Evidence to Practice Gap Breastfeeding Challenge Winners OWH recently unveiled the first round of winners for its Reducing Disparities in Breastfeeding Innovation Challenge. The 15 winners demonstrated how their programs increased breastfeeding initiation and continuation rates and decreased disparities among new mothers in the United States. How Women Ages 15-44 Can Take Simple and Inexpensive Steps to Reduce Blood Pressure. What's New in Women's Health Research Recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed a 71.3% drop in HPV vaccinations among adolescents ages 13-17 (March-May 2020 vs. that same period in 2018 and 2019). Other routinely recommended childhood and adolescent vaccines also substantially decreased with catch-up vaccination efforts lagging. Since women often make the vaccination decisions for the household, please contact your doctor, physician assistant, or other healthcare provider to schedule catch-up vaccinations for your family.
