Do you have mild COVID-19? Consider joining a clinical research study.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is conducting a study for adults with COVID-19. This study is being done to see if an experimental drug, IL-7 (NT-I7), is safe and whether it will help treat COVID-19 by supporting the immune system. The study will also provide standard treatments for COVID-19 as medically indicated.

Participants who enroll in the study will:

  • Have about 8 study visits
  • Be in the study for 3 months
  • Be assigned to receive either the study drug or placebo (looks like the study drug, but has no drug in it)
  • Get 1 injection of study drug or placebo in the arm or buttock, and stay at the NIH hospital for 5-7 days
  • Be compensated for their time
