Pain is a common problem among military personnel and veterans, including those who were deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan.

The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health is leading a multiagency collaboration, called the National Institutes of Health–Department of Defense–Department of Veterans Affairs (NIH-DoD-VA) Pain Management Collaboratory, to test nondrug approaches for the management of pain and related conditions in military personnel and veterans in the real-world settings where they receive their care.

On Veterans Day and always, we are honored to support those who are serving our country and those who have served in the past. And we are grateful to all the military personnel and veterans who have volunteered to participate in the Collaboratory's studies.
