On Tuesday, November 16, the HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) hosted the Advancing Behavioral Health Equity: National CLAS Standards in Action webinar. In case you missed it, a recording of the webinar is now available on OMH's YouTube channel

This webinar highlighted real-world examples of behavioral health service providers using the National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS), and the Behavioral Health Implementation Guide

January 7, 2022 Deadline: Nominate Delegates to the Center for Indigenous Innovation and Health Equity Tribal Advisory Committee

Center for Indigenous Innovation and Health Equity Tribal Advisory Committee Delegate Nominations. Deadline extended! Open until Jan. 7, 2022

OMH invites nominations of qualified candidates to serve as primary and alternate delegates for the Center for Indigenous Innovation and Health Equity Tribal Advisory Committee (CIIHE TAC). The CIIHE TAC will play a role in helping to ensure OMH has Tribal input that is critical for the CIIHE's success and effectiveness. The CIIHE TAC will have 16 delegate positions, one from each of the 12 geographic areas served by the Indian Health Service (IHS), and four national at-large member positions.Nominations deadline extended to January 7, 2022.

for Childhood Vaccinations

This study, sponsored by Duke University and the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), seeks parents or primary caregivers, age 18 years or older, with a child ages 3-6 years old who is receiving primary care at the Duke University Health System. The study will be carried out at Duke University Health System locations in Durham, North Carolina.

Influenza in People with Normal and Weakened Immune Systems

This study, sponsored by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), seeks volunteers age 2 years or older with known or suspected influenza infection, as well as healthy pregnant women. The study will be carried out at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

2022 APA Congressional Fellowship

The American Psychological Association (APA) Congressional Fellowship supports psychologists with a background in child developmental or clinical psychology. Fellows spend one year working on the staff of a member of Congress or congressional committee, conducting activities such as drafting legislation, conducting oversight work, assisting with congressional hearings and events, and preparing briefs and speeches. Appointments begin approximately August 29, 2022.
