n i h national cancer institute

Today, President Biden held an event at the White House announcing plans focused on the goal of ending cancer as we know it.

At the event, President Biden shared his vision to build on the success of the Cancer Moonshot, new goals to reduce the death rate of cancer, and ways to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families. The President and First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, also announced a call to action on cancer screenings that were missed as a result of the pandemic.

In addition, today, the President's Cancer Panel released their new report "Closing Gaps in Cancer Screening: Connecting People, Communities, and Systems to Improve Equity and Access." The report aligns fully with the remarks made at the White House.

If you missed it, we encourage you to watch the event and learn more about their goal of ending cancer as we know it. You can view the archived event here (event starts at 31:15).
