Introducing NINR's New Strategic Plan NINR is excited to announce the release of our new 2022-2026 Strategic Plan during National Nurses Week (May 6-12). This week honors the commitment, compassion, and contributions of our nation's nursing workforce. We are thrilled to honor the rich history of nursing through a bold new plan that builds on nursing's expertise in biological, behavioral, social, and public health sciences and long-standing values of social justice, holism, and collaboration. Our new plan outlines how we will achieve our mission to lead nursing science to solve pressing health challenges and inform practice and policy – optimizing health and advancing health equity into the future. It includes guiding principles and five research lenses: health equity, social determinants of health, population and community health, prevention and health promotion, and systems and models of care.
