As part of the White House Cancer Moonshot, a series of community conversations are being held by each of the Cancer Cabinet federal agencies on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. These discussions are designed to foster robust conversation about the possibilities and challenges before us as we organize around President Biden's priority to end cancer as we know it. We invite you to view NCI's roundtable discussion on "Doubling Cancer Clinical Trials Accrual" on Wednesday, May 4 from 12:00-12:45 pm EDT. Meeting President Biden's goal of cutting the cancer death rate in half over the next 25 years will require finding new ways to prevent, screen, and treat cancer, and apply what we learn to change the standard of care. Clinical trials drive discovery, and accruing participants to clinical trials more quickly will yield results sooner. Expanding clinical trial participation to a broader range of patients ensures racial, ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, geographic, and other representation, and increases the application of results to more populations. The conversation will be livestreamed on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/GDStKfGeuyo. You will also be able to join through NCI's Facebook and Twitter accounts. Stay tuned for the full schedule of conversations from each Cancer Cabinet agency, which will be posted on whitehouse.gov/cancermoonshot.
