Carmen Brewer, chief research audiologist, NIDCD Audiology Unit, retires

After 20 years of federal service, Carmen Brewer, Ph.D., chief research audiologist in the Audiology Unit at the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), will retire on October 27, 2022. At a symposium held in her honor in September, colleagues, staff, researchers, and practitioners celebrated her contributions to the audiology field as a researcher, clinician, and mentor. She was presented with an Award of Excellence for her sustained support of the NIDCD mission over the past two decades.
