Did you know, our brandmark represents the power of connection? The single threads represent individuality and unique experiences; these are simultaneously interconnected and woven into the greater community. When “woven” together, these threads create a stronger, more resilient “fabric” of people working together for the Autism community.
This is the foundation of our ethics as we look ahead to our work in 2023. Every amount - no matter how big or small - makes an impact.
- $25 supports one hour of support from our National Helpline team. We saw a more than 200% increase in calls and emails in 2022, we need help meeting this demand.
- $50 allows us to continue to develop social stories, communication boards, and checklists for Autistic individuals. Dozens of resources were developed this year alone, and are available for free on our website.
- $100 invests in our critical work to allow for more accessible vaccine clinics, health provider trainings, and educational materials. Thousands of Autistic individuals, caregivers, and healthcare providers received our Guide to Accessible Vaccine Clinics in 2022.
- $250 supports our First Responder program to facilitate safe, and effective interactions with the Autism community.
- $500 assists in the continued development of our employment program, which addresses the systemic barriers that lead to the unacceptable unemployment rate for Autistic adults.
Frank, a data analyst who is Autistic, spoke on a panel for the Autism Society about his employment journey:
“I love earning my own paycheck and not being so tied to government benefits…I like being a potential role model and example for others with disabilities, at what they, too, can accomplish if society can just give us the right supports.”
With you as a partner, we can continue this essential work in the year ahead. Thank you for being a connection in the Autism community. |
