| Dear Hcis,
This holiday season, I am so grateful for the amazing community that makes the Autism Society stronger and more impactful for all we serve. As we reflect, the Autism Society accomplished many remarkable things because of your support:
- More than 1.2 million people received valuable information, resources, and ways to get involved through the Autism Society website.
- We advocated for funding, resources, and policies to support the lives of people with Autism through more than 20 pieces of legislation.
- The Autism Society recently received funding from the Department of Justice to protect tens of thousands of people with Autism from wandering into danger, especially around water.
- Educational events across the country provided more than 58,000 people with information on various topics, such as inclusive employment practices, IEP planning, and more.
- Thousands of Autistic individuals, caregivers, and healthcare providers received our Guide to Accessible Vaccine Clinics, to provide a supportive environment for people with Autism to receive vaccinations.
We must keep up this momentum in the New Year! There’s so much more that Autistic individuals and their loved ones need in order to be fully connected to community, services, and opportunities.
