Follow us @NIMHgov NEWS AND EVENTS White House Report on Mental Health Research Priorities The United States is amidst of an unprecedented mental health crisis among people of all ages. To address it, President Biden put forward in his first State of the Union a comprehensive national strategy to tackle our mental health crisis and called for a major transformation in how mental health is understood, accessed, treated, and integrated—in and out of health care settings. This collaborative, whole-of-government effort to identify research priorities builds on and complements other priority-setting activities for Federal mental health research, such as the National Institute of Mental Health's (NIMH) 2020 Strategic Plan for Research.
