March is National Nutrition Month—a good time to consider the role of dietary supplements in nutrition and health. 

Dietary supplements are intended as a supplement to your diet, not a substitute for healthy eating or other good health habits, such as being physically active, managing stress, and getting enough sleep. Supplements also shouldn't be used to delay or replace proper medical care for a health problem.
