Today is Autism Acceptance Day!

Evan, an Autistic individual and advocate, spelled this simple, yet powerful statement for us at our recent brand photoshoot in San Diego.

Evan, an Autistic individual, and self-advocate spelled this simple, yet powerful statement for us at our brand photoshoot in San Diego. He shared how he hopes to work in finance one day, as well as the challenges he faces daily - like the mind-body disconnect he explained as “my body is not listening to my brain.” We are committed to sharing diverse and unique experiences across the Autism community.

During this recent photoshootthe Autism Society proudly worked with individuals and families with high support needs who bravely shared their stories with us. This Autism Acceptance Month we continue our essential work to support all members of the Autism community.

The Autism Society #CelebratesDifferences for Autism Acceptance Month.

A parent of a young boy with Autism went on to share their experience participating in the photoshoot: “The most loving, welcoming, and beautiful team of people held such a comforting space for us to simply BE. Thank you for capturing these moments for us and for others to see they are not alone.”

Being aware of other people’s experiences leads to inclusion, acceptance, and meaningful change to provide accommodations and supports. Change occurs when everyone has access to individualized services, something that the Autism Society works towards everyday.

Support the Autism Society of America to #CelebrateDifferences for Autism Acceptance Day.

It is vitally important that we work together to advocate for diverse resources that can meet the needs of each member of the Autism community.

Support the Autism Society today and join the global movement this Autism Acceptance Day.
