We recently released our annual report — and in case you missed it, I want to share some of our most important accomplishments made possible by donors like you. Thanks to our supporters, the Autism Society: - Served more than 1 million people with information, resources, education materials, and more via our website.
- Advocated for 42 bills nationwide to benefit individuals with Autism, their families, and caregivers, and helped pass key legislation including the ABLE Age Adjustment Act, the reauthorization of Kevin and Avonte’s Law, and the Assistive Technologies Act.
- Expanded First Responder training, engaging 4,300+ police, fire, and medical personnel on how to safely and effectively interact with individuals who have Autism.
- Strengthened our Water Safety and Wandering Program to improve water safety, expand drowning prevention efforts, reduce negative outcomes from wandering and elopement, and help save lives.
