The Foundations of Autism course package explores Autism and key characteristics, highlighting diverse experiences within the Autism community.    In this course, you will learn about aspects of Autism including neurological, communication, sensory, and social differences. LEARN MORE Did You Know? Many people with Autism process sensory messages differently, which leads to a range of sensory experiences. These sensory differences may have a significant impact on self-regulation, ability to engage in learning or other activities, and feelings of safety in one’s body and in the community. Learn more by enrolling today!  By purchasing the Foundations of Autism course package, participants will receive access to:  Foundations of Autism – The Basics (approximately 20 minutes to complete): This course introduces basic concepts and characteristics of Autism. Participants will learn about Autism, key characteristics, neurodiversity, prevalence, co-occurring conditions, and intersecting identities.    Foundations of Autism – Beyond the Basics (approximately 50 minutes to complete): This course provides a deeper understanding of Autism, highlighting a range of experiences. Chapters include content on information processing, sensory processing, communication, emotional regulation, social interactions, other common Autistic characteristics, and will end with the Autism Society’s vision for acceptance, inclusion, and belonging.
