Research shows that Autistic individuals are 160X more likely to drown than their neurotypical peers. At the same time, more than 60% of children lack basic water safety and competency skills, leaving millions vulnerable in aquatic environments.

For Autistic individuals, the sensory experience of water can be calming and enjoyable. Yet without proper safety skills and support, these environments can also present serious risks.

AuQUA Life was created to ensure Autistic individuals and their families have the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to safely experience and enjoy aquatic environments throughout their lives. Autism is lifelong and water is everywhere. No family should have to navigate those waters alone.
