Addressing Community Health Literary to Improve COVID-19 Health Outcomes   With low health literacy levels leaving many people susceptible to dangerous COVID-19 misinformation and disinformation–especially racial and ethnic minority groups and American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities– the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health (OMH) recognizes the need for critical health information to be accessible to all people. In a blog post published on October 27, 2022, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Minority Health and Director of the HHS Office of Minority Health, Rear Admiral Felicia Collins, M.D, M.P.H., highlights the Stronger Partnership, Stronger Community: Using Health Literacy to Increase Resilience (Stronger2) project funded by OMH's Advancing Health Literacy to Enhance Equitable Community Responses to COVID-19 (AHL) initiative. Credit: NIAID A panel of investigational monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) targeting different sites of the Epstein-Barr virus blocked infection when tested in human cells in a laboratory setting. One of the experimental mAbs provided nearly complete protection against lymphoma when tested in mice.
