 Webinar on Enhancing Socialization and Nutrition Wednesday, March 4, 2020, 3:30-5:00 PM ET Register now This March, ACL will host a four-part series of webinars on how the lives of older adults can be improved by the Congregate Nutrition Program. The series will focus on small steps necessary to carry out the goals of the Older Americans Act Senior Nutrition Program and how you can make your mark every day on lives and communities. Part 1 will focus on how congregate meal programs can help to decrease social isolation. Attendees will hear testimonials from older adults from the Carter Burden Center in New York City and learn about a recent study, "Beyond the Meal: The Value of Socialization in Older Americans Act Congregate Nutrition Programs." The event will also address current challenges and future opportunities for a vibrant congregate program as identified at the Future of Congregate Convening in March 2019.
