The HHS Indian Health Service (IHS) has released information on COVID-19 vaccine distribution by IHS area as well as by tribal health programs and urban Indian organizations.

The National Academy for State Health Policy has developed a database of States Plans for Vaccinating their Populations against COVID-19.

The Rural Health Information Hub is calling on rural communities and healthcare providers to share how they are innovating to provide COVID-19 vaccination via their Rural COVID-19 Innovations initiative.

Observance: Martin Luther King Jr. Day

January 18 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, observed each year as "a day on, not a day off" during which Americans are encouraged to volunteer to improve their communities.

Resources: Healthy People 2030 Target-Setting Tools and Methods

The HHS Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) have released statistical methods and analytical tools that were instrumental in setting transparent, data-driven targets for Healthy People 2030 on a national level. Public stakeholders can now access two of these new analytical tools for target setting: the Percent Improvement and Minimal Statistical Significance Tool and the Trend Analysis Tool.

The HHS Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) has also released information on how they use 6 target-setting methods to develop Healthy People 2030 objectives.

The study is to be conducted at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
