In Case You Missed It: OMH Blog for Health Equity

Combating Racism Advances Health Equity

"OMH calls on everyone in the nation to join the federal government in condemning and combating racism—it is the right thing to do as a nation, and for our health," said Juliet Bui, a public health advisor at the HHS Office of Minority.

In the blog, Juliet explains how federal activities aligned with President Biden's January 26th memorandum and January 20th executive order will address immediate equity needs related to COVID-19 response and recovery efforts. The blog also provides resources from federal agencies to help improve cultural competence, access to quality health care, and mitigate the adverse effects of racism on health and wellbeing.

The blog post is available in Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog, and Japanese.
