NINR Seeking Deputy Director NINR is seeking applications from exceptional candidates for the position of Deputy Director to assist in providing leadership to one of the preeminent institutions for nursing research. The NINR advances research and research training that leverages nursing's holistic approach and reach across clinical and community settings to identify and propel practice and policy solutions that are responsive to people's lives and living conditions for the most pressing health challenges and most stubborn health disparities. The NINR is moving in exciting directions, and the NINR Deputy Director will play a central role in shaping these developments. The Deputy Director is a vital part of the leadership team, serving as the second-in-command for the NINR. This position offers a unique and exciting opportunity for a leader to create the realization of the NINR's strategic vision and mission. The Deputy Director works collaboratively across the NIH, throughout the federal government, and with other key stakeholders and organizations to further the advancement of the NINR mission and objectives. The Deputy Director serves as an ambassador and spokesperson for the Institute, communicating the NINR vision. The Deputy Director facilitates the forward progress of nursing research though key presentations, strategy sessions, and formulating research objectives with the Director, the research community, and government colleagues. The Deputy Director also serves as a role model to the rest of the Institute, managing resources with integrity and fairness, while maintaining the Institute's policies and priorities.
