Dear Hcis,
Healthcare is often a stressful experience for individuals and families within the Autism community. Historically, few providers have had the knowledge, understanding, and resources to meet our community’s wide range of communication, sensory, social, and cognitive needs.
The Autism Society is working to change that at a fundamental level — by connecting providers, patients, and parents/caregivers with education, training, resources, and tailored supports, we are shaping the future of accessible healthcare.
In the last year, our Vaccine Education Initiative (VEI) has paved the way for a more inclusive and accessible tomorrow. Together with our affiliates and healthcare partners, we have trained over 5,000 healthcare providers, hosted over 800 accessible clinics, and distributed over 30,000 accessibility kits across the country.
When you give during Autism Acceptance Month, you help strengthen this life-changing work and all our programs, supports and resources. Will you take a moment and make your contribution? |
