Acceptance begins with understanding and compassion

Our Vaccine Education Initiative (VEI) has paved the way for a more inclusive and accessible tomorrow.

Dear Hcis,

Healthcare is often a stressful experience for individuals and families within the Autism community. Historically, few providers have had the knowledge, understanding, and resources to meet our community’s wide range of communication, sensory, social, and cognitive needs.

The Autism Society is working to change that at a fundamental level — by connecting providers, patients, and parents/caregivers with education, training, resources, and tailored supports, we are shaping the future of accessible healthcare

In the last year, our Vaccine Education Initiative (VEI) has paved the way for a more inclusive and accessible tomorrow. Together with our affiliates and healthcare partners, we have trained over 5,000 healthcare providers, hosted over 800 accessible clinics, and distributed over 30,000 accessibility kits across the country.

When you give during Autism Acceptance Month, you help strengthen this life-changing work and all our programs, supports and resources. Will you take a moment and make your contribution?

GIVE TODAY

Hcis, we’ve received incredible feedback since we launched this program nationwide...

"I’ve worked in pediatrics for 25 years, and I’ve never seen anything like this. There’s no reason why we couldn’t do this in every clinic. We can." - Provider

"Everyone was absolutely awesome and provided such a positive experience for both me and my child." - Parent

"If you start with making the doctor a better place, pretty soon you'll make the world a better place." - Self-Advocate

But to expand our health equity work and keep making progress toward a more understanding, compassionate and accepting world for people with Autism, we are counting on you....

Please support our life-changing programs, supports and resources

for the Autism community during Autism Acceptance Month.

Together, we can make sure everyone in the Autism community is connected to the support they need, when they need it.

Thank you,

Allie Tasche (she/her)
